Pure Turbos helps set new A90/MKV Supra output record with first 6XX whp Supra B58 - 559 rwhp boost only, 622 rwhp with nitrous

Well, another day another Supra B58 output record. Two records here actually with the most powerful boost only MKV Supra at 559 horsepower to the wheels as well as the highest output overall so far at 622 horsepower to the wheels.

Not to mention this is the first A90/B58 to crack the 600 wheel mark:

The mod list?

- Pure Turbos Supra B58 turbocharger at 20 psi ($2395 retail)
- Catless downpipe
- Race Gas

The 622 figure was hit with a 50 shot of nitrous which is great to see disclosed. One run boost only, one run with nitrous specified, and nothing hidden or misleading.

The stock plugs are apparently the limitation here. Pure Turbos told BoostAddict the turbo should be good for 650 whp boost only.

Honestly, starting to look like a pretty decent platform. My caring about huge power numbers days are well behind me and I'd be perfectly happy with 500whp in a reliable, comfortable, and well performing chassis.

It's been a while since I've done a non-oem power adder, but the reliability and drivability never satisfied in my previous experience.

Certainly a fair point but if anyone comes close it is the domestic aftermarket.

Look at that torque curve. Flat and 450+rwTQ from 3000-6500 rpm. That's incredible.
And the HP curve just keeps on climbing upward.

I wonder where the 'bottle neck' and limits in this engine will show up.
Intake, intake manifold/intercooler, head, cams, turbo, downpipe, exhaust? Engine itself- pistons, rods, bearings?

This car, the downpipe and turbo- partly with the Pure hybrid turbo, have been addressed

I hear from most tuners it will be the head with the integrated manifold. At some point someone will need to design a custom head and that won't be cheap.

That is just speculation.
No one has flowed or even scoped the head and integrated exhaust manifold.
Think of it as a built in 'Steedspeed' exhaust manifold.

If anything, extrude hone it or run twin turbo.
