Yeah I'm pretty close. I know the group they're in. Have tested some that turned out to be not right. I haven't got back to looking at that yet. Once I get the TCU tune fairly well sorted and after I get automatic upshifts in M stopped, I'll have another go at slowing torque re-introduction.

You think all those features happen with a magic XDF? Lol.

Chris has them because he is my go-to tester / guinea pig, and has been since day 1. Jake H has them as they we tested at a 1/2 mile race. Don't worry, they will certainly be released for all to enjoy! And you're missing a few from your list Click here to enlarge

You are magician Jake. Quit trying to hide it.

I'm just being a brat and being impatient. As long as you promise you'll release them I'm good and I'll shut up.

Thank you guys as always for your hard work.

I'll be impatiently awaiting the release Click here to enlarge

In fact, it almost looks like it lasts for less time but maybe that's because of the higher sampling rate? You'll see timing corrections are better now but this is an updated DME map vs. the one I logged with with the 160ms settings and I think temps were lower too when logging with 350ms so hard to say what's helping. Sorry for the multiple variables.

    3 upshifts - http://www.datazap.me/u/mfish123/3-u...s?log=0&data=9
I double-checked the VAG and E60 OLS files and those addresses absolutely must be the ones for that name BUT I found another table for each upshift titled "factor for return ramp at torque increase" and the factor at any torque above 80nm is 0! Fingers crossed that increasing that factor make the ramp time a factor of the previously found tables and using them in conjunction with each other could allow us to shape our timing increase rate.

Brad, I was looking at that table recently and saw the 80nm you're referring to. If you try it, lmk how it goes. Ideally a slow ramp rate back to the timing from the Timing (main) for that load/rpm would be perfect.

I'm hoping that another potential contributor to post-shift knock isn't a big contributor to it and that's super heated exhaust valves and cylinder temps in general from the negative timing during a shift. Fingers crossed. I'll be able to test the ramp factor tables about 9 hours from now.

I'm shattered. I left my tablet with xhp on it at work! I'm not going back there now.

If anyone is willing to test more torque ramp tables, please let me know.

This is likely the same table that creates the burble on upshift on other DCT cars ?

Nope. I'm looking for table descriptions on the DME side of things to look for that too. That would be a better option for AT than negative timing IMO because negative timing blow torches the exhaust valves.

Well I changed the values in the recently discovered tables and no noticeable change AGAIN.

So the folder of tables is titled "Schaltablauf Motoreingriff 1 -> 2" (and 2 -> 3 etc.) which translates to "Switching sequence engine intervention 1 -> 2". Every table to do with "Motoreingriff" definitely is to do with requesting torque reduction from the engine.

    I changed the following tables:

    Dauer Rampe ME bei Schaltungsende
Duration Ramp ME (engine intervention) at the end of the circuit
    From 90ms to 180ms

    AND

    Faktor fuer Ruecknamerampe bei Momentenerhoehung
Factor for return ramp at torque increase
From 0% at all torque levels above 80nm to 100% at all torque levels above 80nm

It's like the above tables are just a starting point but the transmission still ramps up torque as hard as possible if it doesn't detect slip.

We might need to limit the torque increase rate after a shift on the DME side after all. It might come with its own side effects because on the DME side is just a single cell item that applies to all revs and loads.

Are there any other tables that would mean that these ones aren’t accessed for your test ? For example temp?

Possibly. There are thousands of them and they're in German. Also they're often abbreviated in like 3 letters that no English speaking person could guess what the abbreviation stands for Click here to enlarge

The tables that most obviously should change it don't in practice. Next stem will be to just mod the universal scalar on the DME side. I'm moving on back to trying to stop automatic upshifts in M mode.

No clue on the AT stuff, but are the torque paths and interventions in the DME rom enabled or disabled? Not sure it applies at all, just thinking whatever you're changing could potentially not even be active.

has anyone looked at any VAG original files? im just wondering if anyone has as im struggling to find anyway to tune the trans in my RS6, frustrating as we do probably 3-4 a week in fords with HPtuners and SCT. You guys have done a great job with the BMW stuff.

if anyone remotely interested here is the ori file.

Not anything of use to tuning. Several more tables found and tested in the hope to stop automatic upshift but none worked. Same for limiting rate of torque increase post-shift but in practice, these tables have no effect. Likely disabled via switches elsewhere in the rom. Again so very dissappointing that the TCU remap project started as an open community project then it went commercial, the ones with the key skills needed to further it got silenced and the devs do not take important feature requests that affect literally every N54 user seriously. Click here to enlarge

I'll post a link to a full map list with automatic translations shortly and ppl are free to go through it and identify any tables of interest and I can try and define them but I haven't seen anything else of great interest to tuning that actually works over what we already have.

This happens with every project. At this point, you might as well just get a new car. It's 2018 and we still don't have open development so if not now then when?

I did buy another car but not for that reason. F11 LCI 535i N55 with 8AT transmission. Heaps of space for the kids and all the new gimmicks etc. It's a lot slower than the turbo upgraded N54 335i that's for sure!

The commercialisation thing is what it is. What bugs me is there have been threads about post-shift knock since the first announcement of XHP and they're still being started to this day but they have no intention to use their resources and have a proper go at it. Too busy making quick tunes for more car models to make more money.

The E60 6HP is probably the most similar to ours. Here is a map list with automatic language translations. If anybody notices a table that looks of use to you and you're willing to test it, let me know and I'll have a go at defining it.
