Eurosport Twin Screw Twinscrew Supercharger for E36 M3 S50 S52
****** SOLD ******
Nevermind the story you don't wanna know but it ends with me smiling, smacking myself on the forehead and selling my BEAUTIFUL Eurosport Twinscrew supercharger with around 40k miles. It's cherry and includes all parts needed to install, pics below.
NOTE: Includes TRM Stage 2 OBD1 tune (approx 400whp), S52 (OBD2) owners must re-tune or go OBD1 (switch exhaust manifold basically, no big deal and more power, it's what most do and why TRM doesn't have a Stage 2 OBD2 tune yet, but Matt welcomes you to be the first!).
Price is 7k US (what i paid) or trade for market equiv in gold or silver bullion coin.Last edited by susan28; 06-13-2011 at 01:38 PM.

YES, but much misinfo-based drama has occurred since then, and as it turns out the "upgrade" being offered is essentially a trade-in deal on a new kit, not something that gets done to your current kit, meaning those won't be available any sooner than the new kits, and given the "upgrade" is 5k + your old kit, i decided it would be cheaper to get a new one.
New One? Yes, i spoke to Josh personally last night and finally cut thru all the rumours: The 2.1L production run is nearing completion AND he's taking deposits on new kits which he will then expedite. He'll be getting back to me on pricing in the next day or so, i figure 9-ish, and said he could have it ready in a month or so.
But given the new kit is actually gettable now and i heard it from the horse's mouth, i no longer need the old one to "upgrade" and it's not cheaper to do so.
So yeah, more madness, but almost to the goal. No-one can accuse me of not caring enough, eh? I'll have earned the CRAP outta this when it finally happens.

In a word, yes, for the reasons stated. It was a comedy of errors that could've been avoided, i believe, with a little better info from those i was depending on to keep me in the loop, but everyone's stressed these days and in the end, what else can one say except "Is it 4:20 yet, honey?"
BTW for anyone interested in my current kit who is NOT going to build their engine, the Opcon 1.7L in this kit is designed to work at maximum potential on stock engine. The 2.1L from ES is tuned to run the exact same spec as the Opcon on a stock engine. The difference is that the 2.1L has headroom for a few more rpm's in its sweet spot and so is better suited to the engine i intend to build oneday. It's not that you can't run the Opcon on a built engine, but you'd have to pulley it not to overspin. Sickness either way i promise you.
Anyway i share all of the above as it was explained to me, including the potential release of the new kits, in the spirit of complete openness and not trying to trick people into buying mine who otherwise might prefer the new one by hiding the news. It's not a secret, i'm allowed to tell, and am happy to share this joyous news with my fellow TS freaks - one of whom would hopefully like to save a couple grand (at least) on this pristine 1.7L kit."For the most part, it was pretty quiet all night long in gold and silver, but I'm sure the bullion banks are still lurking out there somewhere." -Ed Steer

Thanks dOpEd, i'm sure it'll find a good home. Sweet kit, i'll be glad to hook someone up with it.
I've made my peace with the hassle and confusion. Just one more bit of business to handle then it's the green grass and high tides.. and the Milkmaids.. there are Milkmaids.. and pylons and staging lights and the smell of gasoline.. ahhhhhhh..."For the most part, it was pretty quiet all night long in gold and silver, but I'm sure the bullion banks are still lurking out there somewhere." -Ed Steer

Wow yer a glutton for punishment, but ok It's kinda been a comedy of errors..
Lessee.. well i've been intouch monthly with Matt at TRM since discovering the twinscrew like a year ago. At that time and for, oh, 9 months or so after that, the news was that the next-gen kits were still in progress but that it was sporadic and no release forthcoming. It was described by Matt as being "2 weeks from completion for the last 2 years", and more or less stuck there. When i spoke to Josh back then before he officially transferred all inquiries to TRM he more or less confirmed that - "Life Happening" on his end basically, as alluded to by some forum posters from time to time as the reason for delay.
So around month 9, i begin to get antsy and begin to be willing get an interim kit that i'd sell when (with an "IF" factor still in play as well) the 2.1 arrived, having already sussed that the larger blower would better suit my longterm plans. Check with TRM once more - nope, still no news - then snag that AA from Zoheb (after having one more shot at milkt.. nope!).
So it's the friday before the scheduled monday install down at AA and i'm browsing the forums and what do i find but a post from Dec 2010 from a guy saying he's waiting on an "upgrade" that should arrive any day now! But he's a military guy and next post was he was getting deployed. I call Matt PRONTO and extract that yes, ES is offering upgrades to current kits for 5k.
Here's where some confusion comes in: Matt sez i'd have to have the "upgrade" installed by TRM since there's no OBD2 tune for the new blower yet, but that he'd done "many" OBD1's. Now given that the whole discussion was regarding the new blower, i think it was reasonable for me to assume he was referring to those as the "many".
Based on this, i frantically sell the AA and score the ES with a highball offer to milkt which you all saw unfold.
I then call Matt with the "Make It So Number One!" and find that NO, he was referring to the Stage 2 tunes for the old kits when he said he'd done "many" (how that got mixed up in a convo about the 2.1 i don't know) AND that NO "upgrades" had actually been delivered yet - including the one William (the soldier) was expecting in "days" last year (Yikes!) - and furthermore that since "the upgrade is basically a new kit", having a current one is NOT a shortcut to the new blower, and i ended up back where i started only with a sweeter ES kit which though steep i don't feel i overpaid for at all, to use til if/when the new kits arrive.
Except that in this milieu the kits had progressed. Josh was finally satisfied with the casting and was machining parts. Matt says i might wanna wait on the install, new kits might be here by year's end, but he's still not sure.
I ask to speak to freaking Josh. And he calls me, we have a great chat about the TS and the Barrett, hehe, and he says he's got enough finished parts to make me a kit, that he's completed another customer's recently (probably William's), and that he'll get back to me shortly with a price and deposit. I still don't know what that's gonna be yet.
And that's where it's at. I feel Matt coulda mentioned the "upgrade offer" sooner and explained it to me better, but he's got other things on his plate too and things can get lost in translation on the innertubes and even on the phone. So i'm willing not to cast blame, accept my possible role in any errors, call it a wash and just be happy my project will now only be an engine build away from completion with the Crown Jewel already in place.
My biggest worry now is that it'll somehow get delayed again after i sell this kit! I'll be $#@!ting freaking bricks if i let this kit outta my paws and drama develops on the other end and i've half a mind to wait on this sale, but am taking a leap of faith based on the sense i got of Josh and where the project is. I do think the new kits will be out soon one way or another and that my name is on the next one, and figured i'd get a head start on the sale since unlike the AA i'm not giving this one away..Last edited by susan28; 06-11-2011 at 12:08 PM.

Yeah, well i really priced the AA to sell at 5k shipped and also had to resort to eBay to move it quicker so i really took a bath on that. But Randy gave me a fair price for the ES and actually, given a few goodies milkt threw in out of respect for what i was paying and which i've retained, i actually came out ahead.
This all proves there's definitely still a market for them out there as, while true that many who are most interested are broke, there's enough "hardcore" e36 fans out there who aren't - or who like me are of modest means but see the extreme value in them - to support at least a small-scale cottage industry in them."For the most part, it was pretty quiet all night long in gold and silver, but I'm sure the bullion banks are still lurking out there somewhere." -Ed Steer

Both of Susan's previous TS setups...
The AA unit in its new home:
Both of them, collecting dust in my "former" den:
Besides moving__home and shop__to new digs near Florida's Gulf Coast, I've also been collecting all the little pieces that would've made Josh's ES/TS setup so special. One of the harder pieces to get my hands on, resorting to contact with Josh himself, was the S-54 oil cooler adapter:
After settled a little bit, and getting my shop workable again (and passing several cars through it already, even though we've only been living here less than six months) I'm about ready to swallow hard and pay up for the software tune.
For history, I've wanted my own ES/TS ever since I did the installation on this Coupe, now with its lady owner and living near the south Atlantic coast of Florida:
Well, I guess I haven't come to terms with how you post pictures on this forum (WHY do they all have to be different?) but they should work if you click on them...
Also learning that this forum doesn't consider me trustworthy enough to post links/pictures

Yes, I suppose; by virtue of being able to log in, I just assumed I'd been here before. With probably some 20,000 posts spread across several forums (for several Marques), it's getting too hard to keep track of them all in my head.
Thanks for unlocking the door and letting me in. I make an effort to keep my posts on topic and with technical merit.
