    RENNtech E63 S AMG 4MATIC+ ECU Upgrade 773HP | 778 LB-FT

    RENNtech

is proud to release their ECU Upgrade

    for the 213 - E63 S AMG 4MATIC+

    Maximum Power Output:

    773 HP 778 LB-FT @ crank

    665 whp 669 wtq @ wheel

    Gains up to: +82 HP +84 LB-FT

    0-60 mph: 2.79 sec

    0-100 mph: 6.61 sec

    60-130 mph: 8.27 sec

    1/4mile: 10.88 sec @ 129mph

*Performed on non-prepped asphalt and with OEM, Street-Legal and/or Non-Performance tires.
Data measured with Racelogic Performance Box.

*Note: Mercedes M177 engine performance when measured on the dyno obtains higher power numbers than rated from factory. Performance numbers published by MBUSA are a calculated average within a specific rpm range, which obviously result in lower power numbers than at the peak. HP and TQ gains calculated by RENNtech are always based on peak stock results measured by RENNtech and upgraded peak results measured by RENNtech.

Renntech is getting over 770 horsepower out of the 2018 Mercedes-AMG W213 E63 S - Stage I M177 tune dyno results plus GPS acceleration testing

Simply excellent work here from Renntech who released their Stage I ECU flash tune for the M177 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 in the 2018 Mercedes-AMG E63 S. The gains are huge with the tune producing 773 horsepower and 778 lb-ft of torque at the crank.

For those who want to see a graph with output at the wheels (like this website) Renntech provided the data from a Dynojet:

The car is very strong stock on 93 octane pump. That is 595 horsepower at the wheels. Considering the factory rating is 603 horsepower Mercedes-AMG is clearly sandbagging and heavily.

The horsepower and torque gains on the dyno are great but how do they transfer to the road? Well, very well:

0-60 comes in 2.79 seconds. 0-100 in 6.61 seconds. The 1/4 mile takes 10.88 seconds at 129 miles per hour.

Keep in mind these are GPS figures but the car is stout. It is knocking on the door of 130 traps with just a pump gas tune.

Here is how the Renntech numbers compare to stock:

    Performance Tests:
Vehicle Upgrades 0-60mph 0-100mph 60-130mph 1/4 Mile ET Trap Speed
    W213 - E63 AMG S Sedan Stock w/o Launch Control 3.63 sec 7.96 sec 9.40 sec 11.76 sec 122 mph
    W213 - E63 AMG S Sedan Stock w/Launch Control 3.20 sec 7.30 sec 9.13 sec 11.24 sec 124 mph
    W213 - E63 AMG S Sedan Rt ECU Upgrade w/Launch Control 2.79 sec 6.61 sec 8.27 sec 10.88 sec 129 mph
*If not otherwise noted, performed on non-prepped asphalt and with OEM, Street-Legal and/or Non-Performance tires. Data measured with Racelogic Performance Box.

Take a look at the video below to see the car in action with launch control. The new E63 will be a stop light terror.

    oh wowie!!!! Thats great!

It sucks on paper that it's only a 70'ish HP delta, but picking up damn near a full second in the quarter mile from a flash alone is real nice. I'd be happier if they were 91 octane #'s. This is stage 1 so factory exhaust is completely intact?

Does @RENNtech know when to expect stage 2 #'s along with downpipe availability?

This should do real well if you sprayed 70/30 meth/water and adjusted the tune slightly.

I really really really want a W213. Darn it!

Great job @RENNtech I follow you guys with some interest, and look to you as a benchmark in performance and quality.

Thank you, the tune works really great. Yes, this is only tune with factory exhaust. Downpipes will be finished this week and we should have some results sometime next week.

We'll test our tune on 91 Octane soon, to see if we have to make adjustments. However, it's hard to get 91 in Florida ;-) It's either 93 or 89. But we'll probably finish that next week also.

They are just being honest. The car is underrated, big time.

It is also in a much higher state of tune than the W212 or the other M177's.

@RENNtech did you dyno it to all four wheels or just the rear wheels?

This is getting interesting. I'm curious to see how much power can be made with the stock turbos on simple bolt-ons on 93 unleaded ONLY, with no water / methanol added to the mix. In other words, just a tune with intake / filters, catted down pipe, full exhaust and mufflers, and spark plugs). If this car can make a reliable 820+ flywheel horsepower with these simple bolt-ons, I will have to change my plans and buy this car.

We'll know soon enough. I'd expect there is another 40 whp in there.

Since the new E63 in dyno mode powers the rear wheels, a 'true' four-wheel drive dyno-testing is not possible.
We dynoed the car on our 2-wheel dyno.

Were your acceleration runs (in the video after the ECU upgrade) performed in 2wd or awd?

All the runs were done in AWD with Launch Control. RWD on the streets is only possible in Drift Mode and that doesn't help the acceleration ;-)
