new E90 335xi world record - 100-200 5.5s 135+ mph trap speed
Hey guys,
I've been kind of out of the loop lately with all things N54-related, however I did manage to e-tune an E90 335xi in Romania a couple of weeks ago, and the results exceeded our expectations...
100-200 in 5.89s, full weight street trim with a bunch of crap in the trunk, running 98RON + meth. 10 degrees of timing up top
100-200 in 5.53s gutted interior and fiberglass doors running Q16 + meth, only 12 degrees of timing up top so the Q16 didn't really do much, 54F ambient temps
1/4mi in 11.02 @135.5mph in 72F ambient temps. Only got to do one run and hit the limiter on the 1-2 shift with a resultant 2048 torque limiter and subsequent shift bog. Would have been even quicker on the 2nd run but unfortunately the car in the other lane lost it and crashed into the E90. Fortunately nobody was hurt, and the damage wasn't too bad, but his day was done...
Mods are as follows:
bone stock engine
bone stock 6AT with xHP software
MMP relocated inlets
Hydra modded MMP outlets
Aquamist HFS4 meth kit running 1.0mm and 0.9mm nozzles
VRSF 7.5" FMIC
Hydra-spec TD04HL-19T turbos running ~28psi of boost
Stage 2 Walbro 450 LPFP
no PI
no JB4

Nice 1/4 pass! Was the drag racing in gutted interior form? Do you know what the car weighed in at?
Considering the 60' being fairly slow at a 1.96 sec still pulling the 11.02 sec ET is pretty good... so assuming it is has been lightened quite a bit (or it was the whole 1-2 shift debacle). Either way definitely a shame the car will not get to see more passes anytime soon.

I am sorry for asking but are those fiber-glass doors? They do not look stock and the duck tape and lack of door handles makes me think those are not OEM doors.

And that ladies and Gentleman is how you know, you are tired.
Good to know and I wonder how much weight the doors saved? I've always had a dream of buying carbon fiber doors, I would never do fiber glass myself. The weight is for sure helping this car out on the big end, especially with a 1.96" 60 Foot.2008 335xi MT Coupe. Sparkling Graphite. Pro-tune by Twisted Tuning. AD-e 650hp FMIC/Charge pipe w/ BOV. Pure just posted that an E92 335xi with their turbos did a 10.9 @ 133mph. So that is "faster" while the car above is "quicker". Shame my man didn't get to do further runs due to the crash, because the car easily had another 0.3-0.4s in it...
