Apart form the TQ limiter being upped.
So if someone upped the torque limit on the Alpina flash wouldn't it be the same for you then?

    I sure think so.
The SS thread was talking about there being some time for the new flash to adjust and relearn 100 or so miles (varying driving I assume). I did that last night. I couldn't find any change over that time or today. To me it really feels like it's the Alpina flash for use with Android.

And not that it should matter but I did a trans flush/filter not more than 2,000 miles ago.

Lmao this is the truth, I was being kinda soft. 2-1 M downshifts are still absolutely terrible, but the 1-2 for me is improved. My shifts are still kinda slow but the trans is at 80k with constant abuse so that could be a factor.

I'm the same; 80K. I bought my car with 46K. SO I beat it for the majority, came from some doctor who never drove it.

So do you think the videos are cars with under 20K? I doubt it. I think there's something missing somewhere, factory software conflict/memory location, or calibration conflict.
I'm not getting the result in the video at all and I don't feel the as advertised is correct vs the B3.

It's too hard to log. MHD logs sample at around 10 times a second. It's too hard to catch a 20-30% shift time change with that sample rate.

So what ever came of this? Is this just another gimmick for auto guys? Has anyone proved the claims the company is making?

I have an auto e90 and a 335is DCT e92 as well. On the e90 I had both the Alpina flash and the xHP Stage 3. Alpine was marginally better than stock and xHP Stage 3 is WAY better than stock. There are even times at part throttle, manual shifting from 1st to 2nd without traction control where xHP will spin the tires on the shift. I love it.

That said is it DCT like? Or comparable? No, not even close. But it is so much better than stock that every auto that is FBO or above should be running it.

Well from all the reviews that are on e90, I've come to the conclusion it's not worth it for me to try this out till I see actual results. Some say it's amazing others says it's terrible? Just way to much hype with no acutal 3rd party testing.

I've been running the stg 3 flash on my e82 since the public release.
I still don't feel it was worth the money spent. I have no track data that says yes go and buy this flash. My drag times have not changed ... I can't attribute this years .4 improvement to trans flash, inlets or new tune; probably combination thereof.

I still say that if you have an Alpine flash, stick with it. It's tried, reliable and proven. As of now XHP is still a gimmick IMO.

I will say though that I have over 100 drag passes on the trans flash and have not had a single problem. But when the trans gets near the overheat threshold be careful. The last pass I made at the track i must have hit that mark because the trans kicked me into neutral and I was coasting until I reset the codes. Borderline the shifting gets weird, so there is warning prior to failure. This was my 13th pass of the night and 6th in my hotlapping.

And it also seems that any time I get near that 1.7 60' mark the trans acts up. Mid 1.8's are easy but lower seems to just not be quite right. Or maybe it's not the trans and it's something else. Not really sure.
