Throttle closures - log linked
Hey guys,
E61 N54, MHD stage 1, 91 octane. I keep getting throttle closures under full throttle. I can't get a good log because the closures but here is a short one:
http://datazap.me/u/potato/e61-n54?l...-30&zoom=16-42
Any ideas?
Newer plugs, carbon cleaning, vacuum lines, injectors, coils. I do get a 30FF on occasion. I have pretty noticeable wastegate rattle. I turned off the MHD wastegate rattle fix and it did not seem to help the throttle closures.

The only throttle closure on that log is when you back off the accelerator.
There is a serious boost leak or boost control issue though. That's laggy as hell and WGDC is waaay too high for the boost. I'm surprised you don't get 30FF every time you boost it. Looks like it needs a boost leak test using smoke and vacuum test those new vacuum lines again. It could also be boost control solenoid(s) or actuator rod adjustment issue. If could also be a blocked cat or cats.

Something is wacky with the throttle. The throttle is at 81% and he has the pedal position at 99.6%. The throttle was even at 81% when his pedal was at 69%. Almost as if his throttle is sticking at 81%.
I agree, you must have a huge boost leak, never totally reaches the target. Plenty of issues with this car.

i see no throttle closure in that log. but as stated you do have a boost issue. Throttle is WOT the entire time you have the pedal Full throttle.

Well it's not me that's backing off the throttle. The car is doing it and it is quite sudden. The rpm gauge bounces down and its harsh.

DSC off, 3rd gear, stock boost map. Still having a sudden throttle closure.
http://datazap.me/u/potato/log-14979...-29&zoom=19-65
Getting this error:
Only code is DME Shadow code 2DC5: Torque request via CAN, plausibility.
Crap video of what the rpm bounce looks like (1st gear but it does a similar thing in 3rd):

There are still no throttle closures in that log either. TPS is 80-81% across the board. Are you looking at WGDC thinking that's throttle (because they're selected in log links). It is odd that WDGC increases when you let off the pedal though. Do you have rattle option set? Linear throttle option? Does it do that in other maps besides stage 0? Add load requested and actual load to your logging params.

I see now, thanks for clearing that up. Yeah, that's definitely not your run-of-the-mill issues. Maybe a hardware problem, especially since there's a code. Still wondering then if some flash-time throttle option is set? I'd get off that Stage 0 and flash back to stock for starters. Stage 0 isn't stock.

It is much harsher than if I just let off the throttle.
The only other flash time option I have set is 800 rpm idle.
It has done this with stage 1 map and "stock" stage 0 map.
I originally had the wastegate fix set as well but removed it before posting these logs.

Not yet. Had it in the local sports car shop but they only drove it and scanned it and didn't find anything (replicated the problem easily though). I reinstalled the factory charge pipe/diverter valves yesterday. Going to test it today to see if that does anything. Engine is 100% stock now.

Replaced the turbos and installed AR catted down pipes. Rattle is gone, throttle closures are gone. Pulls strong. Re-flashed to stage 1 MHD.
