JB4 issues
I have no luck with JB4
Single turbo, MHD backend flash, map 1
AFR's are fine on start up then start jumping around eventually pegging 20, shudder, misfires, stalls
Any ideas? I've swapped the 02s in to different banks but same issues. Currently running grey 02 in bank 2

See if you still have o2 sensor fault codes stored... Without fully functional o2 sensors nothing is going to work.

Definitely something bizarre still with the o2 sensors. The JB4 tuning is disabled on map0 and map1 with single turbos. Don't see how it could be having any effect on the sensor outputs but you could put the small black subconnector only back to stock, which is where the o2 sensor signals ride, just to be 100% sure its not related.
This is with brand new primary o2 sensors? Did you disconnect 19&20 on small black to disable rear sensor signals?Last edited by Terry@BMS; 04-13-2016 at 09:31 PM.

I removed 19 and 20. Started it up and AFR's are perfect and match. About 15 - 20 seconds after bank 1 goes haywire again.

Sounds like what happened to me, did you get a backfire at all
cracked intake manifold or a bad vacuum leak on the manifold
it will send your afrs haywire
check cylinder one on the manifold along the plastic welds especiallyLast edited by martymil; 04-13-2016 at 11:26 PM.

you swapped the sensors but did you swap the connections otherwise the readings will stay the same.
But I'm not sure if you can switch the connections
Terry chime in here.
We swapped out a faulty front sensor on a mates car as it was going ballistic
after that all good.

If you have access to a smoke tester, I would smoke test the intake manifold. Could be a leak in the gasket between the head and manifold. When swapping o2's if you are testing to see if the sensor is bad, swap the sensor and wires to see if the issue is isolated to that specific sensor.

Would rep you guys again if I could.
Didn't even cross my mind to swap wires too. The issue followed the sensor after I swapped the wires. New sensor should be here tomorrow and hopefully resolves issue.

Just a faulty 02. Swapped bank 1 sensor and all back to normal. Back to tuning now.
Definitely buy Chris's ADV sensors. His sensors are better in so many aspects. Worth the investment2010 N54 - DocRace - Motiv - CKI - TCKR - Volk - ER - CSF - Vorsteiner

Probably will later in June. Just focusing on getting the car up and running right now. Trying to figure out how I'm gonna setup the JB4 so it doesn't mess with anything the shop is doing with their Cobb livetuning. My head hurts from all the reading I've done today. lol
Unrelated: The kit doesn't come with a MAC Solenoid right?'08 Barbera Red 335Xi 6AT: DOCRace ST 6266, VRSF 7" FMIC, VRSF CP + Synapse Bov, MHD tuned by Wedge Performance, Fuel-it! Happy to help although still confused why the thread is labeled "JB4 problems" instead of "o2 sensor code problems".

The only variable that changed from running well to not was JB4 settings. Turned out to be a component failure.
