I guess my question should have been since I'm going to run a JB4/BEF do I need to get with BMS to work on the BEF for 20+ psi or is it something someone else can help me with?

If you have a JB4 nothing related to boost scaling, TMAP settings, or any other DCT related issues discussed in this thread applies to you.

So I can run 20+ psi when ready? And what about the BMS BEF? Does it give us DCT guys the ability to hold more torque as claimed by the MHD folks?

The jb4 and mhd both suffer from the same DCT limitations in the software effectively. Anything the flash does the jb4 can mirror in the flash, but hardware limitations and software issues yet to be elucidated will also effect both methods, with the jb4 having a minor advantage of trickery, and a minor disadvantage in other respects.

Update: buraq has tuned my car using the scaled boost method and I'm now able to hit over 21 psi with no issues. The car is running like an animal.

So that means MHD can now run higher boost with a DCT car Click here to enlarge.

    - scaled TMAP voltage method (any target, even above 27)

The increased boost ceiling has been available since day 1 with MHD on i8a0s / ije0s. Support for IKM0S and INA0S has been added recently. INA0S MT cars can make use of increased boost ceiling without issue. It turns out the DCT trans request torque to be dropped while shifting when using increased boost ceiling. On IJE0S and INA0S.

The last 10 days I have explored a workaround for that but testing proved it was not the right solution. Dimitri and Ken have been waiting for the outcome of this testing. So further work is needed to undersand why, with the same map, the presence of the increased boost ciling firmware mod causes poor shifts on DCT.

In the meantime, the scaled tmap voltage method is working well and can be used on DCT cars to target more than 22 psi, while retaining the advantages of a flash only tune (among others, boost and load per gear / rpm).

    Can now run?

Look at the quote above yours. It has been able to. MHD told you how to do it and Jake on the first and second page.

We all did. Even wasted time helping him over email and setting up a bin instead of writing up a presentation. This is why i ignore emails so much these days.
