some images of the kit hosted up with fitment.
Just looked at those...some stuff looks good, but I'm betting cars running that kit burn up water pumps or go into limp mode faster due to lack of coolant flow. You can't downsize the feed to the block like that without reducing the flow. Also looks like solid mounts are a must to maintain any clearance from the frame rail, unless the engine torques the other way...haven't even looked at my car in a good while.

I was thinking the same, but then I realized the fitting you are seeing is most likely for the turbo. My guess is the other side of that block is a 1-1.25" opening like stock for the water pipe, its just not on there yet. If that is a -8 feed, its going to do more than burn up water pumps, its going to overheat the motor, that is not enough flow.

Looking again and closer, it does look like he has room on the forward side to put the pipe. I thought the wastegate actuator was in the way at first. Gonna be tight.

did you notice much difference with iat's b/w the 6466 & 2+ at the same boost level? or too many variables to be objective?

Water outlet is 1 inch folks. The small fitting at the back is for the turbo. The car will be running very soon so you find out whether I know what I am doing. FWIW I'm perfectly confident.

This is exactly what I thought on the water. Leen, no one is doubting you know what you are doing, but you will not get stock spool out of a 9180, or 9174. Just not going to happen, I do not care how good the manifold is.

I will have to look through my logs to compare. Twins max-out in the upper 20s psi, so you'd expect higher IAT near any turbo's flow limit.

I am running ours consistently over 30 psi for testing, and seeing very low IAT's. But I am using that ridiculously large AD FMIC which is huge. I am sure that is helping keep the IAT's down

I'll see what he has to say.

People are still recovering from the holidays. I wouldn't expect things to get back into the normal swing until next week.

Got any more info on the intercooler you are referring to? I couldn't find it on their site.

I think it's more of a question of advertising at this point.

He is getting plenty of free advertising and some vendors have complained about that and they are right.

I don't understand why the Steed Speed update was just posted in CP-e's twin kit thread?

if they haven't fired it up yet, it might be some time before a result worth advertising. although i like his confidence and hope it all works out. anyone know who is tuning it for them? neither John or Leen would be spending their days discovering the finer points of n54 tuning at the 800rwhp level. as we all know there are so many hurdles to overcome to get those power levels and then possible gremlins to iron out during testing. i sent John an email a few weeks back asking about a realistic schedule and didn't hear anything. i'm sure he gets a lot of questions like that.

actually he said 800 "hp" not "rwhp". on a dynojet that might be more like 700rwhp?

or in north america you guys just assume you are also talking about "rwhp"?

It's a 79lb/min turbo so it should be good for about 750-790ish whp with that iwg setup

Neither John or myself are touching the tuning. We have a very well known and respected tuner lined up for the task so as soon as we have the hard parts made we shall let him work his magic on the tune. Before getting into that I'd like John to at least take it for a rip to get some idea of how it is spooling though. At least then I'll be able to see how the manifold and turbo are working.
