    Shiftek/Bms shifter issues???

    So, I've had my shifter for about a year and just lazy about getting to this. I bought it from BMS and bout the UUC DSSR and installed them when I put my twin disc in.

    Is the BMS shifter what made my gear changes super notchy, the DSSR, or the combo of the two? Also, anyone else get one that had the shifter attachment either slotted 90* off or the lock pin hole drilled 90* off? If I snap the shift knob on it points to the left or to the right.

    Mine also points a bit off with my ZHP shift knob but almost straight with the OEM M-Package Shifter.

    A LOT more knotchy with the stock shifter VS the ZHP.

    Mine was cut incorrectly. I emailed shiftek with a pic showing it 90 degrees off and they told me I was 1 in 5 to receive one that was cut incorrectly. They sent me the properly cut piece immediately and it's been fine ever sense.

    Mine was notchy but the weighted knob helped a lot. If you don't have one, get one.

    Did you have to remove the entire shifter lever to fix it?

    The shift was the most PITA mod i ever did. lol those tony little screws and that damn rod. I like the shift in my Msport. The throw is decent and its pretty smooth.

    No, just take off the top part. I believe it's just the one long screw in the picture that goes through the middle.

    Hmmm...If it comes off easily, then I'll just bring it work and redrill and tap it myself and be done with it. I'll have to give it a better look tonight. Mine appears to have the head of the screw ground off or something. Maybe it just has some plastic melted around it to cover a sharp edge or something.

    Should be an allen. There is a long plastic washer/bushing around it that you will notice as you unscrew it.
