? Huh, you can't honestly believe someone trying to remove all flex from the rear end for launching is ONLY replacing these arms? Why you are so gung ho about saying the stock arms are fine is beyond me. The stock arms are garbage, who cares if they are designed to crush in a crash, the goal is to remove deflection from the rear suspension. Those arms are a piece of the puzzle that needs to be replaced, just like the engine puzzle, of fuel, air, etc etc. Those arms should not be left in place when going through the rear suspension, period.

The point Im making is being missed by a few of you. Suspension 101 and the bigger piece to the deflection puzzle. You can throw a patio chair in for your race seat and wear a plastic fireman helmet to the track to save a few pounds for all I care. Others can garner some info from what I'm posting hopefully and that will be a win.

One of the guys who bought these arms wasn't clear they had bushings, so something is being gained from the discussion, not just arguing for the sake of arguing. Is there deflection in the arms, yes, my point is and has been the substantial deflection is in the bushing. Those can be upgraded with zero sacrifice.

This portion of your statement is false. Yes, there is deflection in the bushing, but if the arm itself is deflecting, then the bushing has been deflected to the point of acting as a solid bushing. Then add to that the arm is still deflecting under load and you should quickly come to the conclusion that NO bushing upgrade will solve the issue of the arm deflecting. The arm must be upgraded to eliminate the deflection under load. BTW, this is logic 101.

What info would that be? Telling people these arms do not deflect when they in fact do? Telling them they are supposed to crumple in the event of an accident, (common knowledge). Bottom line, and you can argue it until you are blue int he face, you will still be wrong. If you are upgrading your rear suspension for maximum performance, these arms should be one of the FIRST pieces to go.

Your bushings will never be the component dealing with the load. Any force transferred to them will be transferred through them. If you go full solid, they don't deflect at all and your arm takes every bit of the load applied. You make them too soft, they fully compress and your arm takes the full load. You want to remove deflection, remove the OEM arm.
You're the one coming in here and arguing with everyone and saying you're correct and we are all wrong. The burden of proof rest on your shoulders.

I need to unsubscribe from this. Holy waste of time. If you want t leave the stock arms, leave them. Why this is even a discussion is beyond me
