Could use your guys' help with these crazy codes. Please dont tell me I broke my car.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on what my issue may be. I have an 07 335xi 6-speed and I was driving it to my local drive-thru coffee stand; go dutch bros! anyway, I turned my car off because I was behind someone in line, only to hear and somewhat feel something drop underneath my gear selector. It kind of freaked me out. Anyway my order was up so I turned the car on, rolled forward only to hear some clunking noises. When I pulled away my dash lit up like a christmas tree; 4x4 light, ABS, Ebrake even, scared me.

Got home, hooked up my BT Cable and got some codes. Is it my servo motor? Thanks for any replies.

Sounds like something going on with the transfer case. If you can reset adaptations with BT give it a try. If not get Inpa up and running. Worse case, pick one up from a junk yard. A buddy of mine got one for a couple hundred bucks and it wasn't too hard to replace. Either way you need Inpa to set adaptions on it.

Mine did the same. It was the servo motor in the transfer case.

Yeah I figured out its my worm gear, just ordered a new one off of eBay and instead of buying a new actuator, I'll see if I can just replace the worm gear and call it good. I'll be doing a writeup on it as well.

If a shop would start building Heavy Duty T-Case for this platform it could really shine !

The transfer case I think is solid; unless you continue to drive with a stripped out worm gear. Which even then I don't think you can do too much damage to your t case.

Well its not cut and clear.. But from the first post don't think it's a TC issue. (But the second post I dunno anymore)

    2D2E - if your running a JB4 don't worry about this code.. It's standard on JB4 cars.

You have one Steering angle sensor code reset your steering sensor N.B.D. (happens sometimes and usually is fixed with a sensor alignment.)

The next couple codes are PT-can codes... Powertrain communication codes.. Check your JB4 harness

    The PT-can codes cause 5F3A

5F3A despite what it says is just the deactivation code for xdrive it comes up when you have various errors. PT-can codes are a sure fire way for it to pop up. So that's from that.

I'm not too sure about the T.C. codes in post two though. It is very possible that your transfer case is going. Just don't get hung up on 5F3A its standard code that gets thrown a lot with DSC or DME errors.

This the weak points seem to be
    1) drive line mounting particularly the rear. We need stiffer mounts
2)axles but lets be honest most OEM axles break on race tires and launches
    3) front diff a few people have blown these up.

And obviously the worm gear but thats a wear thing I don't remember seeing any grenaded worm gears.
