Rough start up gone?
Well I am happy to say that my rough start up is gone...I installed my cpe charge pipe with tial bov and while double checking connections I noticed that my hpf cool side connection was fully seated and there was some oil leaking. After pushing it in and hearing the wonderful clicking soundvi knew it was in for sure...could that possibly be why I had a rough start up or was my stock cp that messed up...just wondering if anyone had an opinion

Yeah it was really obvious there was a small oil puddle right underneath the connection...having rhino ramps makes getting to the ic so easy I could uninstall and install the fmic in less than an hour but I always thought the other side was the issue but it's tight as a drum there so hopefully this helps the car is pulling hard as hell now

Usually a code will be thrown as well or limp mode if the charge pipe and FMIC aren't connected well causing a vacuum leak.

not always. i believe this is how i smoked my first stockers. my fmic-chargpipe connect was loose, only half secured, It would sit on top looking secure to the eye, but i eventually found out it moved half offf when pressurized. i could still hit boost, just couldnt maintain it, causeing the turbo's to spin only god knows how much more, trying to hit that boost target, wearing them out in a short amount of time. and never had codes

Interesting, I believe I went into limp mode both times when my charge pipe blew off because I hadn't tightened it down all the way.

I have been running stock charge pipe for some time now... I have a bungie cord wrapped around the peg that used to hold my stock air box in place and have strapped it around the charge pipe at the rear most diverter valve. This hold my charge pipe up close to my TB under heavy boost. I want to change out my charge pipe o ring to be sure I get a solid air tight connection. Kind of ghetto but it works well for me and I am always sure to get boost.
