I saw that as well...lots of neg reps in this thread for seemingly no reason. If you've been around this site for a while (it looks like you have), I'm sure you've seen the back and forth drama that flows from some (or most) of these AMG threads. I picked up some neg reps in a thread that was almost a year old for doing basically what you did - paying someone a compliment. Apparently some of the Benz Boys are insecure or something.

It's from the same group of Middle Eastern posters as always unfortunately. Since a personal vendetta continues I think some people will simply be losing the right to use the rep system.

You done good. Very. I mean, I like my blip and all that - it's nice & loud & startles the @^*% outta me!! - yet find myself feeling a bit of jealousy. What's up wit' that? Guess I need to do that pipe stuff you talked about and quit trippin'.

And now, you can call me crazy or even stupid, but my first thought was - and it ain't even my CLK Black, or thread for that matter.............y'all can kiss my negative @$$! But that's just me.

I contacted Weistec about this before seeing this thread and got a straight forward no. But they did say I could just go to a Mercedes dealer and ask for the 2009+ speed shift plus software for my 2007 E63. Has anyone else done this? I come from the BMW ///M world where there is so much more information, parts, coding and available dealer OEM specific codes to ask for, The AMG world seems so vague and hard to find any info, kind of annoying being my first one.

The BMW crowd tends to be younger with more guys modding than the AMG guys.

Anyway, I haven't heard of anyone having the dealer do it but in theory it should be possible especially if out of the warranty period.
