dyno tune
sold my jb3 and got a dyno tune
it made as much as my jb3 on map 9 did without downpipe.
330 on map9 without downpipe.
mods FMIC DCI BOV dyno tune half working meth
baseline with fmic dps dci bov and half working meth lol. i got a 250 and now i made 330+ little more bc car got too hot at the end. this is on a 13psi. for my dumb ass i forgot to put the filter on the nozzle for the meth and some little thing stuck in there and wasnt working right but it will still spary meth but not much. got some cm10 and going back to get retune next weeeek.
this was done on a mustang dyno - - there dyno read so low.......
wat # normally 335i make on mustang dyno stock???? like 260? 269?

lol hows my usual tone and writing?? lol hahahah
hmmm i think 13psi compared to map 9 16-18 and still make the same power???
i think with 18 psi will making more then jb3 on any map maybe.
one pulll he did he got a 348whp but it was knocking due to my meth not spraying right. fixing it this week and going to get a retune to see if it can go 17-18 psi.

Flash tunes + meth are normally a bad combination as you don't have any mechanism for a hardwire failsafe in case the meth stops spraying.

There would need to be an I/O accommodation on the ECU for that which is beyond the scope of what any N54 flash tune I know of can do. In theory if they have an external map switcher that uses CAN commands (not sure how GIAC's works) they could bribe us to add a map switch command to our CAN Tool. It has external analog inputs which could be used to monitor meth flow and trigger map switches.

The piggyback doesn't send a direct signal to the ECU that meth has failed. So it has to send some other signal that the ECU understands.
From what I've read about the JB3, it gives the ECU a high manifold pressure signal so the ECU thinks it is overboosting. The ECU then pulls timing.
On the PROcede, Vishnu has been more protective of their approach but its probably safe to say the CPS offsetting kicks in and significantly retards timing and the PROcede boost control lowers setpoints and opens the wastegates (maybe closes throttle?).
The issue with flashes is that they don't add any I/O to the ECU. The piggies have a separate meth failsafe connection that gives a digital ok/not ok to the piggyback. From there the piggybacks can manipulate the ECU I/O to make the ECU, wastegates, etc. respond.2009 335i: PROcede V4 with BMS DCI (still not sure how they get along!)

What input would you use? I guess you could find something trivial and use that sensor to send your failsafe condition. Maybe the muffler flapper valve connection?
You would have to get the flash tune to pick up that code as meth failure. At that point I have no idea if you can make that work but at least you've sent a signal to the ECU. I also have no idea how fast that point is scanned which would be critical for a meth failsafe.2009 335i: PROcede V4 with BMS DCI (still not sure how they get along!)

You need either to open the wastegates or vent the boost from the charge pipe with some kind of solenoid/Bov . Think that would be enough?

If I was running meth at high boost I would certainly want the flash to pull timing on a meth failure.
Don't forget, at 7000 rpm each cylinder is going through nearly 60 combustion events per second!!!2009 335i: PROcede V4 with BMS DCI (still not sure how they get along!)
