Top Driving Frustrations
In general, since we are all automotive enthusiasts here, I imagine we are all pretty good drivers.
Sadly, that just means we are in the minority.
I try to rarely complain, but I finally had to put together a list of my biggest frustrations while driving
Agree? Disagree? Other additions?
-Rich
In priority order:
1. People who lolligag in the lefthand lane. After you pass, get back over.
2. People who don't secure their loads. See exhibit A.
3. Not understanding the proper way to merge. This includes both merging on to the highway, but also merging when lanes end say for construction.
4. Not passing a police officer/highway patrolman. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people who refuse to pass a highway patrolman, even when the officer is cruising well under the speed limit. I have to imagine this is some sort of game/stress reliever for POs - let's see how slow we can go without people passing us.
5. Not turning right on red. I realize this isn't legal everywhere, but for the areas it is, for the love of God, turn when the coast is clear.
6. Tailgating. I hate tailgaters.
7. Rubber necking at accidents. Move along folks. Nothing to see here.

Rubbernecking and people that don't know how to merge make my blood boil.
I also hate when you get stuck behind the morons that are causing all the traffic then when you blow past them they act like they weren't doing anything wrong. Like goddammit did you not see the line of cars in your rearview mirror?!

Ha! No doubt. Good addition. I should add people who appear to be clueless/don't pay attention to my list. It amazes me the number of people who wouldn't realize they ran over a elephant if it didn't spill their latte.
Ha! I think every place has bad roads. The best roads I've ever driven on were in Germany. One of my clients apologized to me before I had to drive between two cities about how bad the road was - in 200km it had max, two potholes. Now those were the only two potholes I saw the entire trip, but that made me laugh. Clearly they've never driven in the US.

LOL Great list and you nailed it ! Especially # 1 & 3 ! NYC rush hour is terrible a lot of merging to get into the tunnels/bridges and ofcourse theres the douches that just have to get in and cause traffic to come to a halt for miles behind them. I Refuse to let them go and actually clipped a ladies bumper before playing merging chicken. ZIPPER FORMATION morons one car from each lane keep it moving

People who don't signal make me angry and people who leave their turn signal on as well.
Tailgaters I handle by braking hard to let them know to back off. If they then speed up I use my horsepower to let them know they aren't getting ahead of me.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped

One more to add to the list - although it is similar to #2 . Dump trucks and semis hauling rock/gravel. Kills me. Is it that hard to create a bed that doesn't drop/spill rocks on the road?

On that note I hate when people use their window washers at high speed and it splashes back at me. I then speed up, cut them off, and do it to them until I run out of fluid.

Basic driving skills and inconsiderate drivers, three most annoying things I see
I have the right of way merging on to the highway from the ramp. Prepare to be cut off since you want to ride the car in front of yours tail. Same goes for people on the ramp prepping to merge, leave some damn room between you and the car ahead.
You want to run up on me in the middle lane and ride my ass in a mini van? Downshift, engine brake, downshift, engine break, proceed to pace the 90 year old woman in the next lane to box you in. That's how fast you need to be driving in that piece of $#@! with 0/32 left on the tires.
Trying to close the gap when the car in the next lane puts his blinker on.2010 N54 - DocRace - Motiv - CKI - TCKR - Volk - ER - CSF - Vorsteiner

Man, I think you guys nailed most of them! For me it's just other drivers in general. You get a few good ones here and there but mostly there all annoying lol.
And +1 (to basically all of them) but especially to the cruise control post.
