Fast vs stupid fast - 1000 wheel horsepower E85 GTR goes from a stop against an MP4-12C, 600 whp GTR, turbo Ultima GTR, etc.

The McLaren MP4-12C is a fast car. It is a very fast car even stock as evidenced by a McLarenBoost member's recent 10.6 @ 135 bone stock 1/4 mile run. There is always somebody faster and this particular 1000 wheel horsepower Nissan GTR qualifies. The second race in the video shows the GTR on a 1000 wheel horsepower map with E85 fuel simply blowing the MP4-12C away. There is fast and there is stupid fast.

The GTR runs several cars in the video on this tarmac (which with some huge cracks appears to be in bad shape) from a stop including several other GTR's. After the McLaren run and two GTR runs there is a very cool race with an Ultima GTR. You do not see those all too often and it is essentially a lightweight mid-engine kit car. This one has a twin turbo Ford GT 5.4 liter V8 motor under the hood. The stupid fast GTR gets beat (although the GTR does go into limp mode).

They have a rematch due to the GTR transmission going into limp mode. With the GTR shifting as it should the Ultima can not keep up despite its low weight helping it off the line and the GTR's big horsepower takes over up top. A bit of a reality check for the Ultima owner after the first race.

This is a great video with great runs showing how hard the GTR is to beat from a stop. Especially this particular 1000 whp car.

GTRs are so impressive for the cost.

That road is a bit scary though.

That is insane. I don't think I even have a desire to be in a car that fast quite honestly...at least not without a pro racing driver in the seat.
