ALMS 2013: Let the whining and excuses begin! BMW finishes 7th and 8th at Road America and blames 'horsepower deficit'
Uh oh, here comes BMW's whining and crying when they aren't dominating the ALMS (American Le Mans Series) GT Class. It's not enough that BMW gets to race a Z4 GTE that is not based on anything they actually sell. It's not enough they got to increase the displacement of their V8 from 4.0 liters (which is the displacement road cars with this motor sold in America actually have) to 4.4 liters and that they are allowed to use the Z4 they do not even sell anywhere on the planet as a road car with this motor now they want even more.
Seriously BMW? Where does it end? There are already how many exceptions being made for your ALMS program? Now you cry about not having enough power? Shut up. I'm talking to you BMWNA Motorsport Manager Gordon McDonnel, "Unfortunately, today, just as we saw in Canada, BMW Team RLL struggled to keep up with the competition. It is particularly difficult to again face a result so short of our team’s potential, given our horsepower deficit to the rest of the GT field.”
You can already see what is going to happen. If BMW does not get a rule change favoring them they will pack it up after this season. Dear BMW Motorsport, maybe you would receive more favorable treatment if you were not already bending every damn rule in your favor as is? Maybe instead of worrying about how to skew results in your favor your should worry about delivering a street car actually derived from the Motorsport program? BMW M developing cars based on Motorsport? Too crazy.

So annoying. ALMS asked for it by letting them switch to the Z platform.... give them a inch and they take a mile.

Ok, so they want the car with the most downforce and hp.
Seriously BMW...go f*ck yourself.
Other cars on the grid have weaknesses in other areas. You don't see them complaining. Ferrari and Porsche are having a terrible season.

'oh no, we don't have enough power'
