temp drop = elevated fuel trims?

Or is there something else going on?

First log is from a couple days ago in 55F, second log is from the summer in 95F. Both using a similar mixture of fuel

As temperature decreases, air density increases. Higher density equals more O2 molecules per unit volume. That is my guess.

It's normal. Cooler air needs more fuel.

Absolutely. As others have said we use an absolute boost target system and colder air is denser so you get more oxygen squeezed in for a given PSI. Which needs more fuel, all else being equal.

This is exactly what I've said a couple times on other forums, but everyone likes to jump on the "COOL TEMPS, MORE BOOST" train pretty fast lol. Generally speaking I down the boost a bit when winter kicks around, but most people seem to want to run more boost because of cooler temps. I guess it depends on how far you were pushing the threshold before winter kicks around.

That is where auto tuning works out nicely. It will adjust boost, wastegate duty cycles, and open loop, as you go.

thanks for the responses. My fuel trims remain the similar w/o methanol too when I logged last night. I would normally run w/ meth, but my Coolmist solenoid is "stuck" and won't flow w/ the in/out direction, only reverse. First methanol kit ever, and it's not been reliable.

sorry in advance for the short log. Summer fuel trims w/ E50 normally peaks at 30 in fuel trims w/o methanol.
