Progress on other tunes
Hello Everybody!
I am new to this forum but not new to tuning FI cars. Does anybody know when some of the other tuners might jump into the N20 market? Any idea what is taking them so long?
Thanks

This is a general opinion because I can't find the exact compressor map for the TD04-LR6 in our cars but I don't think there is anything left in the stock hardware (turbo and injectors) to allow anybody to tune much else out of it. It runs something in the 17.5-18psi range from the factory and is in general a tiny turbo to begin with that will not flow enough air (pressure doesn't equate actual air volume and air is required for power)
At the moment I don't think anybody has real hard proof of success, but these guys seem to be ahead by pure dyno #'s and it costs about 800USD shipped. I don't know of anybody that actually has any of the various manufacturers setups in their cars though.

There is more power to be squeezed out but BMW makes tuning difficult and definitely gave it a small turbo on purpose to not step on anyone's toes.
We should see more flashes entering the market shortly. For now, BMS is really the best option.BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped
