    JB4 Map2 on 93 octane wo/dp???

Is it safe for engine longevity & staying out of limp mode to run map 2 with 93 octane gas on a car with the BMW extra oil/water cooling radiators but no downpipes?

You'll pull more timing on Map 2 than Map 1 and likely run worse, all else equal. Stay away from it on a stock car.

Before I got meth, I ran Map 2 + DCI on 94 octane ... seemed to log clean enough, and certainly performed a lot better than map 1.

I've been running Map 2 with just a DCI and it seems to be running strong, but temps around here are getting to 50 degrees and lower so that could be a reason.

Have it set on Map 5 with a 6200 shift light. I plugged the exhaust flapper valve connection back together & am using the JB4 to hold it open. Everything else in the JB4 is on default.

How long does it take for the JB4 to acclimate to the car & do I need to do anything special when I am driving during the setup period?

That you have a 335is changes things as you're already running a partial flash tune. You may be able to get away with map 2 as you'll be forced in to a lower advance curve by default from the factory. Just email in a CSV log and we can check it out for you.

I have a question that falls in line with this, is it bad to run Map 2 if I have intake and straight pipe exhaust but still have the stock DPs on?

The stock Dp's are the limiting factor. I guess it also depends on your climate as some have gotten away with it. I tried it, and my car didn't like it at all. I would stick to map 1 or 5.

With a 335is? It's probably fine but it would be worth looking at logs.

I drive a 135i. I'll try and do some logs over the next week or so.
