Basic chip tune for 2.0T?
Looking for a chip that is easy to install/uninstall from a 2009 passat with a 2.0T. I dont know how much boost it makes stock, but im looking for around 12 psi and something reliable and cheap.
Also, looking for a way to delete codes if any after removing chip. I dont know anything about this engine other than its turbo and I want some more boost.
Is this engine notorious for throwing codes? If so, is it anything like a JB4 where I can delete codes with a BT tool or something like that for VWs?Some people live long, meaningful lives.

I just read through the APR website. They have a flash for the passat but I dont want a flash, I want a piggyback that I can remove whenever I want.
Why cant I just use the chip that goes in a GTI and put it on the passat? Same engine isnt it?Some people live long, meaningful lives.

there arent any piggy backs. I would stick with APR and get the stock file program with it. You can change programs on the fly when you go to the dealer and lock it. They will NEVER know. Ps. stock PSI is about 11-12. Once you're tuned you'll peak 20 and redline 15 psi.
If anything I would wait for their winder sale. It should come soon. It will be 599 for 4 programs. I had stock mode, 91 octane tune, 100 octane tune, and valet mode (super slow limit 4 psi/ 60 mph max, 4k rev limiter.)Burger Motorsports

Thats why you have your own program lock. My numbers were 1212 for easy lock in and lock out. It's a password to let you change programs or not so nobody would know. Most techs wouldn't know either way even if you didnt put it program lock.
See how he puts in the pasword 132 or w/e (security lockout)Burger Motorsports
