Texas Mile Prep

Well its that time people. We are in full scale mile prep mode for the event in october.

We will be running 4 cars....

E60 M5
C63
E55
CL55

Today we had the M5 on the dyno and made some changes. We pushed the shift points and tuned around those points so that we should have perfect gearing through the run. Here is the almost finished dyno.





Next up is long tubes and custom tuning on the C63 as well as some exhaust mods

The E55 is getting shipped in soon and that car is probably one of the fastest out there, so should be a treat. (owner is not on any forums

CL55 is getting custom heads, rotors, and a slew of other stuff.

190mph here we come!

very true, but cool as hell when your there seeing it in person.

We are hoping for 190....should be interesting....we hit 180 last time out...

We had thought of bringing our dyno before, but figured the way we party thats just a bad idea!

Come over and have a few drinks with us! We should be easy to find, look for the only RV with xmas and flood lights on a 2am parked at the mile lololol

(or the police....either way easy to find)

that actually was the record for the M5 there. A lot of people don't realize how much it takes to trap those types of speeds.

on average with conditions it takes a good 600whp to make 180mph.

the aveage modded vette does 160mph all day long.

The thing is weight and launch control are not as big an issues in the mile, as it is in the 1/4 mile. Wind drag is the power killer over a mile.

It takes massive hp to get past the 150mph "wall"

You are correct. for an unknown reason i had a hard time in converting MPH to KPH lol
my 490whp M6 did 163 MPH in an airfield with 1900 meters height from sea level, that M5 must be around 500 whp or so.

I love seeing what Boost Logic does with that black Supra.... and the Jet car was just insane once he lit up that afterburner!

Last time out we went through a keg, 4- 12packs, and 6 bottles of vodka between the 8 of us!

Ya, SW's car is killer We tuned his benz's.

So very true.....REAL POWER indeed. There is a reason people all over the world ship cars to the mile.

Its also why I love the event so much. Its such a true result of the power the car is making. I used to be all 1/4 mile etc, and now its all mile. Weight mods don't really make a difference, your launch surely doesnt, and its all about HP!

awesome! I wouldn't stress too much about the diet, it doesn't really matter that much in this event. We dropped 200lbs on one of our cars in testing there and changed .5mph lol
