More next gen C192 AMG GT details and renderings - All wheel drive expected

There is no confirmation here and it just amounts to guesses but considering how closely the new C192 AMG GT is sharing the R232 SL-Class platform this is no surprise. It is starting to feel as if the AMG GT will be the coupe version of the SL with a bit more performance.

That likely means the drivetrains will mimic one another although the AMG GT will offer the most power.

The AMG GT losing the dual clutch transmission would be a big blow to its sporty 911 rivaling credentials though. Also, it would not be as unique compared to the SL any longer.

Auto Express is guessing here but the SL and AMG GT seem poised to blur together more than ever before:
