Do you trust a Chinese turbo kit? JDY1300 Audi 2.5 TSFI EA888 DAZA turbo kit

Does the name JDY Performance ring a bell? Nope, it doesn't here either. They are offering what they call their JDY1300 tubo kit for the 2.5 TFSI EA888 DAZA platform (8S Audi TT-RS and 8V RS) for $6799.00 dollars.

They claim it is direct fit but so what? They can claim whatever they want. What if it isn't? Will they take it back?

Where are the results with it? What kind of support can one expect from a Chinese turbo company? Do you have any legal recourse in China if things go wrong?

Plus, how do we know the it isn't just a cheap ripoff which is what the Chinese are famous for?

Spend your money wisely. Better to pay more now rather than have to pay for it later.

If its a genuine precision turbo and tial wastegate, that's the parts I'd worry about most.

Hopefully the welds don't fail quickly, and the parts line up. Can't be any worse than VTT turbo inlets on the Audi 4.0t platform.

Outside of that, Do you have any legal recourse currently with domestic part suppliers? If the turbo grenades your $30k engine, I'm sure they'll give you a replacement turbo. Want to litigate it? Probably won't end well or be cost effective. Tuner blows up your motor? So sorry, you accepted the terms that it might happen when you purchased the tune. Outside of APR+, some turbos (assuming it wasn't oversped even then its iffy) and some Edelbrock blower kits I'm not sure I've seen any warranty on parts, let alone the motor.

I wouldn't trust spending 7k on a turbo kit from China. The risk is WAY too high. Especially with how long shipping times take now a days and I assume they have no state side representation so when the kit does not fit and needs to be modified you have to ship it back to them.

2) Everything VTT is just chinese junk. He is a state side distributor for cheap china parts. But similar to China you will be told to gofukyoself when you try for a warranty.

How interesting. I always assumed they made all of their manifolds in house. I guess you can outsource almost anything these days.

There was a thread in the FB group about it and their supplier was selling the manifolds for $500. No idea what happened after that.
