Nissan Z and 370Z height, width, and wheelbase the exact same - Production starts this month

While the new Z is technically a new platform is cleary is borrowing elements from the previous platform. Is the new Z all new? Not exactly as the height, weight, and wheelbase are exactly the same as the 370Z it is replacing.

The length is different as the bodies are different designs.

Is this a bad thing? Not really, the Z being somewhat of a parts bin new design keeps the parts low. Nissan did not need to reinvent the wheel and no doubt will profit off this car as sports cars are becoming increasingly difficult to make a business case for.

If this is the only way we could get a new Z, so be it. Production starts this month with deliveries this summer.
