Modern Classic: Mercedes-AMG G63 on 23 inch rims

There are some automotive shapes that simply will never go out of style. The Porsche 911 for example. Few cars can pull the same basic shape off forever but the G-Wagon is one of them. Somehow, it just keeps getting better.

The latest G63 being perhaps the best example. Not only does it look great but for something with the aerodynamics of a brick and the weight of a rhinoceros it performs quite well.

This example on 23-inch Vossen rims is simply classic cool.

Is this the Mercedes equivalent of a jeep mall crawler?

The rim design is great, but $#@! driving on rubber bands in a luxury wagen.

Extend the axles and put some 35" mudders on it with some sidewall.

The G63 really isn't the best choice if you want to off-road. It is a mall crawler with brick aerodynamic and a ton of power.

It certainly CAN off-road with the proper wheels/tires which also are not the best choice for the street.

This is the one you want for serious off-roading:

Extend the axles and put some 35" mudders on it with some sidewall.
