2022 Acura NSX Type-S sells out in less than 24 hours?

This is the story going around and it is not necessarily as hard to believe as it is surprising. Clearly it goes to show that the market appeal is there for the NSX but that the standard version did not offer enough performance or exclusivity for the money.

It certainly helps that only 300 units will come to the US market. No doubt speculators purchased the car hoping for a quick flip as well as fans.

The waiting list is well over 100 people.

It is absolutely great to see as the problem was not the lack of enthusiasts but a lack of an NSX to be enthusiastic about.

BoostAddict eagerly anticipates the Type-S which hopefully shows us what the NSX should have been from the beginning while offering performance fitting for a high performance sports car in 2022.

Nothing with the Type-S brings enough WOW! factor to justify the demand. I'm going with speculators trying to make a quick buck with markups. I think this will backfire and they'll sell cars at a loss to enthusiasts/collectors. who didn't get their orders in.

It's not a super big difference but less weight with bigger turbos plus limited production definitely increases the appeal.

We'll see how it performs. Hopefully it's worthy of the reception thus far...
