Does this 2022 W206 Mercedes-AMG C63 rendering make you forget about the four-cylinder under the hood?

Say what you will about the heavy hybrid drivetrain of the upcoming 2022 W206 Mercedes-AMG C63 the C63 was never the lightest car in its class. It did offer the most displacement but that is about to change with it being powered by the M139 2.0 turbo four-cylinder motor.

With electric assist of course making for an all wheel drive hybrid weighing 4400+ pounds.

The fact is everything is gaining weight in the automotive world and it will continue with hybridization throughout lineups.

That said, how about the looks? The C63 if it appears close to the renderings you are looking at is going to be quite the looker.

It almost makes you forget about that V8 exhaust note... almost.

I always laugh at cars that have the same number of exhaust tips as cylinders lol.
It looks good but looks basically the same as all the other Mercedes and why not at least keep a 6 cylinder?
The V8TT had a lot of tuning headroom, a 4 cylinder will for sure have a lower ceiling while still being safe not to mention the sound.

They are going green and said they intend to cut displacement in half...
