BMS (Burger Tuning) begins 2021 Mazda 3 Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo JB4 tuning development

Mazda does not exactly offer exciting enthusiast models throughout the lineup. The Miata of course is the major exception but it is not a tuning powerhouse by any means. The new Mazda 3 2.5 Turbo hatchback on the other hand is potentially going to offer some tuning excitement.

As a refresher, the Mazda 3 Skyactiv-G 2.5 Turbo motor offers a 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic. This motor is going into several models throughout the lineup.

At a starting price point of $29,900 there is some definite value here.

We will see what BMS gets out of it.

But too bad no cla 45 amg love, those things are epic pocket rockets. Forged internals from the factory, hand built engine, super stout motor, easily upgradeable. The only set back is the stupid expensive tuning costs on that platform, and the fact that the tunes are bench flash only.

I wish we got the hatch here. The M139 is a very impressive motor too.

AMG is doing some awesome stuff at all ends of the spectrum.

Me too, I wish we got the a45 amg, and if they fixed the crap transmission (that's why I sold my 45 amg) then it would be amazing.

Sooner or later mercedes will utilize more of their f1 tech and then porsche will no longer be the king of the street cars.
