2020 GT500 5.2 Predator before and after Kooks 2" long tube headers plus tuning revisions
Palm Beach Dyno did a dyno test of the Kooks 2 inch long tube headers for the 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 5.2 Predator V8. This car is already modified but that just means it is moving more air. So how did the Kooks headers show?
Well, first of all, the sound is incredible. This motor simply sounds incredible.
How about on the dyno?
Well, there are gains but they are rather conservative. Not that picking up 15 rear wheel horsepower isn't nice but you only see an advantage past 6000 rpm and this is with a car that already has some mods.
Keep in mind, that is without a tune. This perfectly illustrates how especially with modern cars you need to adjust the software to take maximum advantage of a hardware change.
After tuning revisions:
Just under 20 wheel horsepower but more area through the curve as well. Also keep in mind the car is on the factory supercharger pulley.
A very well done hardware and tuning comparison.

Almost 8.5k rpm...is this a V-tec?
This looks like the perfect car to go 1000rwhp without too many mods, thanks to the "big enough" supercharger.Gimme reputation points, pleaaazzz!
