This video is being featured simply because the new C8 Audi RS6 is in it. This is the new kid on the block in the super wagon class. Where is the BMW entry you might ask? Well, the F90 M5 does not come in a touring or wagon configuration so here we are.

The M5 by virtue of being a sedan has the weight advantage in this race.

You already know the cars are all similar with twin turbo top mount turbo V8 power plants and all wheel drive. Only the Porsche stands out with a dual clutch gearbox and hybrid drivetrain which is why the standard Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo might make more sense especially considering it is cheaper and lighter.

What happens in the drag race? The M5 wins. It also jumps.

M5 Competition: 11.1
Turbo S: 11.2
Mercedes E63 S: 11.3
RS6: 11.3

All fairly close. Plus, you don't want to keep these twin turbo V8's stock anyway. Each one has a potent motor just begging to be unleashed.

They race again and the Mercedes-Benz E63 S does even better but the Audi is still the slowest of the group.

Carwow makes a mess of the roll race by not being in gear yet again. The M5 wins the roll race followed by the E63. Unfortunately, the Audi trails again but we will have to wait until someone knows what they are doing does a roll race to see how it truly does.

Overall, Audi did not make the C8 a monster and it seems to be a minor performance upgrade on the C7 if at all.
