Bolt on E85 GT500 vs. Procharged 890 whp GT350, tuned Nissan GT-R, and tuned 997.1 Turbo on the highway
This video features the orange GT500 that set some Predator 5.2 platform 1/4 mile records. It is absolutely a fast car running ~145 mile per hour trap speeds. We get to see it run against some stout competitors on the highway.
A Procharged GT350 making roughly 890 horsepower is up first. It's lighter but the driver also has to row his own gears. Additionally, a centrifugal does not provide the instant torque of a positive displacement supercharger. The GT500 takes it and what a difference a dual clutch makes.
The Nissan GT-R owner did not disclose his mods. He's playing in a different league.
We do not know the mods for the Porsche 997.1 Turbo either. What we do know is tht the 997.1 does not have a dual clutch and it pays the price for it in this race. Still, it hangs in there well against the monster GT500.
