Next gen 2022 Nissan 370Z to get twin turbo 3.0 V6 VR30DDTT motor and 500 hp Nismo variant
Great news here but keep it mind the sources are unconfirmed. Regardless, expect a new Z. Not only are we getting a new Nissan 370Z sports car but it is going to gain twin turbos and a VR30DDTT 3.0 V6 variant. It is shaping up much like the Nissan Clubsport 23 concept.
Nissan has yet to confirm anything but apparently is already showing dealers the car. The styling is a mix of a 240Z and 300ZX paying homage to its heritage.
A manual is expected alongside a 9-speed automatic. Really Nissan? No Dual clutch?
Expect a Nismo variant as well with 500+ horsepower if the rumors are true.
The car is shaping up well and if they keep the weight down below that of the 370Z, we might have a winner!BRAND NEW IN BOX 991.2 standard/non-pse SPW cat bypass pipe for sale - $899 shipped
New generic 991.2 PSE bypass pipes - $499 shipped

Manufacturers mot using a proper dual clutch in their sports/super cars is becoming a pet peeve of mine.
Everyone loves the ZF 8HP and it's in almost everything, it's a great automatic, but god is it a let down compared to a proper DCT such as PDK. The most egregious examples in my opinion are the Brits who stick it in all their sports cars. F-Type, Vantage, DBS Superleggera, etc. Look at any comparison test of the new DBS and the biggest complaint is that the gearbox in the DBS feels years behind the DCT in the 812 in terms of shift responsiveness and overall snappiness. Automatics will NOT be able to replace the best DCTs, they should NOT be in sports cars.

Funny I just watched this donut media video about how Nissan is struggling and one of the suggestions to turn the company around was updating the iconic Z and GTR. I hope they do this, a retro take just like ford did with the mustang.
