The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution not dead afterall? 341 hp 11th gen Lancer Evo possible
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution line ended with a whimper back in 2014. Yes, that is how long we have been without a high performance Lancer enthusiast model model from Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi at the time said a replacement was not in the cards.

Autocar is reporting that Mitsubishi may borrow the 2.0 liter four-cylinder from the Renault Megane RS for a new Lancer Evo model.
Now, nothing is confirmed. All this means is that a new Lancer Evolution is a possibility.
This just seems like a lot of speculation:
In its most potent form, the existing front-wheel-drive Renault Mégane RS’s MR designated engine delivers 296bhp and 295lb ft of torque. However, the possible addition of electronic boosting in a 48V mild-hybrid system being developed for the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance is likely to increase its reserves closer to the 341bhp and 319lb ft of the turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder powerplant used by the limited-edition Subaru Impreza WRX STi S209.
The 11th generation of the four-wheel-drive Lancer Evolution has been conceived to sit on the CMF-C/D F4 platform developed within Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi.

LOTS of speculation. But you're already seeing a bunch of random car pages already claiming "THE EVO IS COMING BACK!".
With that being said with all the platform sharing they currently have access to I wouldn't be surprised if they did actually bring it back in some fashion.
