Ranger Raptor spotted in Colorado! Could it actually be coming?!?!
Everything I've seen from Ford says they do not intend to bring the Ranger Raptor to the US, but we've all seen the Asia market version. Could thing simply be them testing the asian market version? Or is it indeed coming to the US and Ford has been misleading?
As a bonus it was being followed by a new Ford F-150 with Police Interceptor badges instead of F-150.
This was on I-70 heading west like an hour east of Vail. Ford changing its mind on Ranger Raptor for US? Test mule spotted in Colorado
Maybe we will get a Ford Ranger Raptor afterall? Last year reports were that someone at Ford thought the Ranger Raptor was a bad idea for the US market. This was after Ford did patent filings for the model in the USA.
Maybe Ford decided with strong Ranger sales that a Raptor version would only make them more money? That is what Ford is in business to do.
Thank you to BoostAddict and FordBoost member @I6+TT=FTW for the pictures.

Well the Asia market Raptor Ranger uses a twin turbo 4 cylinder diesel. There was no indication that motor would make it here UNTIL now. The new 2020 Ford Transit van will have the same diesel motor in the states as an option (along with a n/a 3.5L V6, the 2.7L ecoboost, and apparently the 2.3L 4cylinder turbo).

If it’s the diesel that will be a bust in the US IMO. Has to have the 2.3L turbo at a minimum (ideally the 2.7L) for it to sell well (which it will with one of those engines).
