    B-Rogue Built builds a 553 awhp DCT twin turbo Audi R8 4.2 V8

The V8 R8 models never got the attention of their V10 big brothers. There are several reasons for that. First of all, the V8 just is not as capable. If you want big power, go for the V10. Furthermore, the V8 fuel system taps out much faster.

EVOMS struggled with a twin turbo V8 build and who knows if it was ever finished.

B-Rogue Built managed to complete this twin turbo R8 V8 and the gains over stock are nice. The baseline was in the low 300's so the increase is roughly 47% more power:

That Dyno Dynamics is corrected but still this R8 is making a ton more horsepower than stock.

Does it make more sense to turbocharge a V8 R8 than get the V10? Not really. It still is cool to see it done of course.

Dunno why they struggle, it's the same motor that's in the RS4 and that engine stock has been proven to over 700awhp reliably (on e85). But when compared to the V10 making 800whp stock block on 93, it's not too bad.

You're right. I just saw those numbers on the RS4. Not sure how I missed it. Whoa!
