420 hp naturally aspirated 3.8 liter flat-6 powered 718 Cayman GT4 coming this summer
Many sites are posting this information based off a rumor but considering Porsche already put this motor into multiple 718 Chassis' themselves it is an easy rumor to bank on. Odds are we will see both a 718 Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder with a 3.8 liter detuned GT3 flat-6 derivative.
If the rumor is correct both manual and PDK transmissions will be available as options with the manual debuting first.
Thinner glass ala the Carrera T will help shed weight and apparently knocking off 110 pounds is the goal.
The 420 horsepower should be artificially limited by software meaning there will be quite a bit to extract from the powerplant making for a Cayman and Boxster we can finally say is not neutered.
More info to come as the actual debut dates near.

Best car ever by a long margin. Hopefully though they don’t give stupid gear ratios like the previous GT4.
