Videos of our JB4 tuned Vargas turbo 135i at No Fly Zone, 11/10/18

Had a great day at NFZ this weekend. Payam took a few passes in our white 135i, but it didn't take long before we realized we need to rework the tires. Click here to enlarge

JB4 tuned, Vargas GC2 turbos, cams, forged rods/pistons, weight reduction, manual trans, and the usual suspects. First run at around 700whp limiting 3rd to 23psi, second at around 750whp limiting 3rd to 26psi.

Glad Payam is ok, that strip is notorious for that spot, we used to get sideways in 1-2-3 on those same tires, you really gotta short shift those gears when it starts to step out. Those are really good roll race tires, but it really helps to get a little heat in them, which that event does not allow

Car is fine, just got a nice coat of dirt everywhere. Click here to enlarge Plan is to install some 328i rear brakes, 15" rims, 275/50/15" 555Rs, and fix the stability control so we can one push it when track conditions are sketchy. Click here to enlarge

I was always under the impression that using stability control yields lower times and trap? Anytime I have ever had it on, just seems like my power was deprived or is that just my imagination?

If it is kicking on then it is most definitely pulling power. For roll races where traction is better it wont kit on, it's more for if something like this happens. Esp if I was at a higher speed 120+ could have been much worse.

Ya I typically kick it back on at higher speeds, but I don't like to have it off sometimes, I get a rise when I'm fighting traction but definitely don't want that outcome lol
