I installed my PTB Upgraded ZMS last saturday along with their unsprung 9 pad sinter clutch with a upgraded IS Clutch pressure plate.
I wont give an Feedback until the clutch is ready to use, at the Moment you feel it is new.135i 10/2009: MHD 102 Custom, DP by Stevan, TTE550, MMP Relocation Inlets, ST XTA, M3 CA, BW Toe Arms, Oil cooler upgrade, VRSF 7,5", Custom Organic Twin Disc, Custom clutch type LSD, RTD Shifter, Stage 1 LPFP, Pagid RSL29, Pole Position, Wiechers Clubsportcage and more

How is the noise level of the flywheel? No chatter? No false misfires at high hp? Do they sell it to anyone now, instead of "for test drivers only"? I'm not that interested on feedback on the clutch, as sinter clutch on my N54 is not my cup of tea... so, in any case, no need to delay the dmfw review

Interested in this as well if it can hold up to around 800ft/lbs of torque without breaking. I hate the chatter.

Give me a few more days and i will write a nice Review.
The Sinter clutch doesnt drive like a normal sinter.... It´s like OEM with a Little more grip!135i 10/2009: MHD 102 Custom, DP by Stevan, TTE550, MMP Relocation Inlets, ST XTA, M3 CA, BW Toe Arms, Oil cooler upgrade, VRSF 7,5", Custom Organic Twin Disc, Custom clutch type LSD, RTD Shifter, Stage 1 LPFP, Pagid RSL29, Pole Position, Wiechers Clubsportcage and more

I can´t really tell that much:
I drove a 1M with the PTB Upgraded DMF and it ran perfect- but since my Transmission is a Little bit different the flywheel with the same Setup (Spring Rate inside the flywheel etc.) is not 100% working in my car.
All in all my car was really (!) loud with the SMFW when acclerating under 3k RPM- this went away completely. But i gained vibrations during deaccleration...Also i had misfires in the last days the first time. My Mapper says he thinks it´s because of the flywheel, i am not really sure.
Then the next Problem is that my clutch Slips. Like said above they sent me their clutch plate with an "upgraded" IS Pressure Plate with SAC mechanism. I Think that upgrading the springs of a pressure plate with SAC wont really work- it feels like the clutch Slips because of the pressure plate is not having enough clamping force for the sinter pads.
Please don´t take this as a final Review: I informed PTB all the time, telling them how the flywheel is working. We are now looking for a date when i will go to them and we will try Different set ups for the upgraded DMFW. Also we will try a Pressure Plate with higher clamping force (Sachs Performance).
If the DMFW works like the one i drove in the 1M it is 100% recommendable! I think PTB Will come up with a solution for my car which works exactly the same. The 1M sadly doesn´t run more then 22,5PSI (with TTE550, around 550HP)- he doesnt have Problems with misfiring, but it could be because of less boost and less power. I hope we will find a solution which is 100% quite and doesnt provoke misfires...
Will Keep you Informed.135i 10/2009: MHD 102 Custom, DP by Stevan, TTE550, MMP Relocation Inlets, ST XTA, M3 CA, BW Toe Arms, Oil cooler upgrade, VRSF 7,5", Custom Organic Twin Disc, Custom clutch type LSD, RTD Shifter, Stage 1 LPFP, Pagid RSL29, Pole Position, Wiechers Clubsportcage and more

I believe you have 8-bolt fw and frontside has 6-bolt. I wonder if that makes any difference. PTB carries both 6 and 8-bolt versions, right?

I'm a guy from germany too, a friend of frontside. I'm driving the DMFW too but with stock turbos and the IS-Clutch. At idle i have a few noises a little bit like a car with SMFW. Not really nice. When accelerating everything is fine, but when deaccelerating i have vibrations two. The strange thing is that i had that already with the Second Version of the DMFW in every gear without the 5. gear; on top of that it was worse with the V2 than now with the V3. The first 4000km these vibration wasn't there with the V3 and the noises weren't there, too...but now they're back.. Maybe i will meet with frontside and PTB if I'm able due to time and then we look on.
Car is an E92 with 8-bolt Crankshaft and "german"FBO Mhd Stage 2+ 102oct.
PS: Pls excuse my bad english

I know it is an old thread, but I received the PTB twin disc clutch last week.
Hope to install it in the next week, then I will let you know about more details.
Maybe I will write a full review in a new thread.

The clutch was on there Website some weeks ago, but now it is no more.
Maybe they have discontinued it. But I have contact PTB for more details.
