Patent images reveal the design of the upcoming 2019 G29 BMW Z4 M40i

These are patent images leaked onto the internet so do not get too excited but they do reveal the design of the upcoming 2019 Z4. The G29 chassis is an update designed with Toyota that is garnering a lot of attention in the automotive world.

What these patent images reveal is that it certainly looks like a BMW and really is just an evolution of the E89.

The main departure is the convertible soft top which is a good thing for weight reduction. If the Z4 can get back in that ~3200 pound range it can again be taken seriously as a sports car or roadster.
