Hypothetical race scenario...
I have a 2008 535i with JB3, DCI, soon to have AR catless DP's and maybe meth.
A friend of a friend, just bought what I think is the 2011 Mustang 5.0 V8...he wouldn't tell me what it was but he said he just got a Mustang 5.0 V8...and he was doing it like a real douche...
Is it possible for me to take him if we both got the same start? Just curious...BimmerBoost's Resident n00b...

Hmm, alright...BTW Sticky, after reading some more and getting some more opinions, I think I'm going to go with Stock exhaust and catless DP's, because the DP's will provide more of a performance boost than exhaust, and it will still sound good! Maybe later I'll add the Dynan exhaust or something, but the RPi would be overkill in sound for me. But yeah I think right after Christmas...I should have enough to get DP's, meth and a few other pieces...

That is what I would do, take the performance boost first. You will be happy you did when you run into something where they make the difference.

unless he got the factory s/c option..
but i say get the DP's, get the meth map or map8 on meth you should be good.. but wait till you get it all in.. by then jb4 should be around as well

Ahh...meh, I doubt he has it...He made sure to tell me he had a "Ford Mustang 5.0 V8" like I wouldn't know that Ford makes the Mustang...he's being pretty arrogant...haha if he had the supercharged version, he would have been sure to say "Supercharged Ford Mustang 5.0 V8"...grrrrrr

Stock 5.0's run high 12's stock and if he has 3.55 or 3.73 gears has you beat on acceleration too. You are in the low 13's tuned. You will need meth, 18psi and pray he sucks at driving a manual (assuming it's a manual). Then you will beat him.
I still don't understand why these things are so slow. They weigh what 4000 lbs (100 lbs more than a C63) and fully bolted + meth it SHOULD be good for at least 400 whp (assuming stock exhaust). That kind of power is good for 11's on many cars but apparently not this one.
