Ivey Tune gets 476 whp from a bolt tuned on 2017 Infiniti Q50 VR30DTT turbo

Wow! Sean Ivey of Ivey Tune was able to get a ton of power out of this Infiniti Q50 VR30DTT. Keep in mind this is the base Q50 3.0T and not the Red Sport version although the turbochargers are basically the same between the two.

What make this even more impressive is the car is on pump gas and has bolt on modifications.

BoostAddict contacted Ivey Tune and is waiting on the full graph which will be edited in once received:

this platform is the next big thing i think, only issue may be the regular auto trans that might keep some buyers away vs a dct. not for performance but the driving experience

Based on volume it should be popular. How many of these do they sell?

Perhaps this will become something like the E9X 335s which are everywhere.

They lease super cheap too...they will become the next big thing. If Terry's making a tune for it, he thinks so too....

Appears to be through all four wheels too. Pump gas and stock turbos? Impressive!

I tune these as well and they are some very fun cars despite the Automatic transmission. They have a lot of potential, considering this engine is like the baby GTR.

In for the full graph. Impressive if that is on 93 only.

What is considered bolt on for this platform?

Auto only is a shame. Hopefully it can handle the power...

I thought the handling is sh*tty? Has the interior gotten any better? But I do agree, leasing is very affordable!

Yeah the handling is not great, numb steering. And these won't be upgraded easily past just a tune. The turbos are integrated into the head so a giant pain to upgrade.

I thought I heard of people blowing them up a lot too at relatively low power, tune only? Maybe just bad tunes initially but I don't think they are really "baby GTR's"

I can't believe this car is hitting these numbers.

    It's the new 335 I guess.

Does that mean in ten years there will be examples making 900 whp and struggling to hit 10's?

Spot on! The old Supra joke was: Doesn't matter how much power they make, they still run 12's.

havent seen too many if any trans issues thus far. most of the early engine issues were people tuning them and being clueless along with experienced tuners testing limits. its a nice platform

the only way to get 476whp is to upgrade the turbo comp wheel.
