    Dodson Motorsport releases 8-plate Superstock BMW DCT transmission upgrade with focus on driveability - F80/F82 M3 & M4, F82 M2, F10 M5, F13 M6, etc.

As you know Dodson has their high capacity 10-plate Sportsman BMW DCT (dual clutch transmission) upgrade available for those pushing big power. Well, they also offer a revised Superstock DCT upgrade.

What is different? The Superstock has eight plates instead of ten. It will not hold as much torque however it is designed to give you OEM or better driveability and smooth gear changes.

Think of it as a less expensive and more mild upgrade that will still hold more torque than stock.

Contact a Dodson dealer for pricing information.

Looks like a good option for owners that didn't go H.A.M. on mods, but might need a clutch replacement / upgrade.

It's perfect for guys on the stock turbos or not pushing hybrids to the limit. Even good as a replacement for worn discs down the line.

Now I wonder how awful the 10 plate version is in normal street driving. Is it really that bad?

You would have to check with a dealer but this is a more affordable upgrade.
