$#@!ing people over is essentially par for the course in the BMW aftermarket.

That is how MANY make money.

@Sticky - very much right! And @135i2 - the ZF transmission is different, but mainly by internal strengths. The software that ZF uses has shown to be very similar if not identical across the various models. That is more so what I was saying. The tables are already defined, just have to search with different names than BMW... The Nizpro transmission kits seem like great assets; however, for $4k I'll purchase a 6L80 or 6L90 and throw it in there...

The price for ALL 4 parts is
    $3300 USD.

    That is

Billet input shaft and bushing in back fully welded into a basket.

Billet intermediate shaft with screw in oil restricter plug fully welded to the larger (hold more frictions) billet E clutch basket

Billet B drum basket (to hold more frictions)
This will need a change over B drum to modify or trans builder can easily whip old basket off in lathe and weld billet one on.

That is great pricing compared to what they charge for the HP26 ford parts.

There are 5x of these HP21 sets left. Possibly 4 as a US customer is looking to purchase one now.

For drag, you are just better off gettin a 4l80e to work properly. The cost/performance ratio of improving the our 6hp21 is pretty meh...

And for dd, road course and such, you are better off with a MT swap and a nice RTD or CAE shifter.

Pretty sure it has been shown the 6L80/90 wont fit without significant bashing/cutting of the trans tunnel.

The 4L80 seems to fit ok and even big power CTS-V's that want to go really fast choose built 4L80e over a fully built circle D 6L90e which tells you trying to make the bigger trans fit isn't worth the hassle.

The best solution is the DCT when it comes to performance. Drag, roll, road course, whatever.

I don't know why people haven't hopped on board the DCT train other than the cost scaring them off.

It is but I think we have someone who has the process down.

Maybe we can do an updated step by step guide with the coding and so forth.
