11-30-2017, 10:02 PM #26Yes, software can be requested without "burble".
Keep in mind that the M2 has some throttle overrun from
the factory, so requesting "no burble" means leaving it at
factory settings. Additionally, it can be almost completely
silenced by putting the car into 'Efficient' mode, without
sacrificing any power output.

Interesting, but in comfort mode the car feels like the throttle response is severely dulled. Factory burble levels aren't too bad but is there any way to dial that back like maybe to 50% of what it currently is and keep it in sport + mode? Also I'm not sure if this is in the coding side of things or ecu tune side, but what can you guys do in regards to rev match down shifts, is there anyway to tune it so in sport + its disabled and in every other drive mode its enabled?
Thanks

12-01-2017, 01:12 PM #28Yes, the primary difference in the various drive modes in throttle
response, as well as some load control functions which influence
shift points, etc... The peak power on the dyno (and under WOT)
is going to be very similar in all of the modes.
What a lot of people don't know is that the throttle overrun is
more than just an acoustic function which is why we are not fans
of disabling it, or making it significantly more aggressive. It assists
in blending the throttle on/off and functions specifically based on
various temperature control/monitoring.
The overrun is still present even when in 'Efficient" mode, the
duration is just reduce to that once you are entirely off throttle
there are no audible pops/crackles. When driving under higher
load in more aggressive scenarios, you typically want a longer
duration.
As for the rev matching function, I'll need my calibrators to spend
more time exploring the A2L or Funktionsrahmen for this particular
application. I know it's possible to disable it entirely, but I am not
certain about the ability to alter it in individual drive modes.
