LMR builds an insane 1224 rear wheel horsepower twin turbo GMC Yukon Denali

Holy crap! This puts the power potential of SUV's in perspective doesn't it? LMR (Late Model Racecraft) is getting over 1200 horsepower to the wheels out of a GMC Yukon Denali L86 Gen V small block direct injected V8 with their LMR1200 twin turbo setup.

It also produces just under 1100 lb-ft of torque at the wheels at 20.87 PSI of boost:

This is all at the rear wheels but it would be interesting to see if they could get an all wheel drive variant to hold together with huge torque like this.

How much does this cost to do? What are the turbo specs? Well, you'll have to ask LMR themselves for that info.

Not gonna lie, didn't realize these were direct inject. Seems like more boost than you'd expect for that power level, wonder what the compression ratio is on that built engine.

    No idea.

They clearly have the fueling figured out though. They know what they're doing.
