Fastest 1/2 mile C7 - TES Performance twin turbo C7 Corvette with nitrous goes 193.4 in the 1/2 mile

193.4 miles per hour in the 1/2 mile is moving but what makes this particularly impressive is that it was done in Colorado elevation. Additionally, the car hit 238.4 miles per hour in the standing mile which is phenomenal speed.

What is done to it? TES Performance provided a twin turbo setup as well as a 416ci built motor. It is a 6L80 automatic car as well.

In addition to the fords pistons and rods you have a Callies crankshaft, LT4 heads, a custom cam, and a direct port nitrous exhaust system.

The turbochargers are twin Precision 6266 units. The car is said to make 1400 wheel horsepower with them and we assume that is on the nitrous but this was not clarified.

Regardless, this car should be good for over 200 miles per hour in the 1/2 mile with some tweaks at sea level. Apparently they are out of fuel and intend to switch to a port injection setup.

Actually thin air helps with high speed runs because it generates less drag.

Any benefit you get from that is far outweighed by the smaller density of oxygen. NA cars are down 3% in HP per 1000ft. FI about 1-1.5%. Unless you’re driving a brick $#@!house, drag benefit isn’t going to outweigh the loss in power.

Then why don't cars run quicker when it's hotter out?

Interesting point and i read a few years ago that actually hot air helps with speed. The negative impact of hot air on horsepower was less than the help of less air resistance.

Well drag results sure disagree with this.

We are talking about 200 plus speeds here.

    Power rules at those speeds.
