Porsche 921 concept pictures make us salivate over the possibility of a future 928

This is not an official concept but a design idea an independent artist came up with. The design itself is very nice and certainly this 921 is immediately recognizable as a modern 928. Porsche has not built a front engine V8 coupe since the 928 ended production in 1995. The Porsche lineup has changed radically since that time adding two SUV's and a heavy four door sedan. It is only a matter of time before the 928 returns.

When it does it certainly would not hurt if i looked like this. The car would essentially be based on the Panamera platform but shorter and lighter. A twin turbo V8 all wheel drive Porsche sporty GT from Porsche? Yes, please.

I would love this, I've been hoping they would do it for a while now. Imagine a Panamera Turbo S minus about a foot and a half of length and wheelbase, a few hundred pounds, and some more aggressive suspension tuning. I'd drive that forever.

Exactly and Porsche knows this. If they gave us the Panamera a 928 makes all the sense in the world.
